This portrait was taken in Fargo, North Dakota, and I loved the aspect of photographing the evening sky during a thunderstorm. However, I wanted to create something from a different perspective rather than simply going outside to capture an image. I wanted to create something from the vantage point of looking out your window on a summer night. I wanted my eyes in the camera to also be the viewer’s eyes at the same time which connects us all to this split-second moment.
