Children are the most innocent and precious beings in this world. There is something about documenting a child naturally that fills my heart with joy.
Every child is unique and should be celebrated for exactly who they are. I prefer a very relaxed, quiet, and free environment where a child doesn’t feel like they are performing. Instead, I get to go on a journey with them and get a glimpse into their world. You won’t see me jumping or throwing candy around to get a child to smile, because, for me, that’s not real emotions. I want you to remember their sweet expressions, their curious glances, and their intrigue as they interact with nature. I never want you to look at a photograph of your child and be reminded of everything it took just to get them to smile. Instead, I want you to look at my portraits and see your child for exactly who they are.

I start photographing children from the time they can sit up on their own, or with limited assistance. This is generally around the 6-month mark, but every child is different. I do not photograph newborns so I prefer to start photographing babies at their next big milestone.
Ideally, for children’s photography, I like to keep sessions under 30 minutes. Truth be told, children do not want to be photographed for a long time. I think people often assume that a longer session means they are getting their money’s worth, but in reality, it’s not the case. Children, especially young kids and babies, do not want a camera in their faces for a drawn-out period. That’s when they get irritable, frustrated, tired, and cranky. Let’s keep it short and sweet for the best results.
Unfortunately, the weather cannot be controlled by myself or by you! I will never fault my clients for unexpected weather. We will hold off on rescheduling as long as possible, but if we decide to do so, we will figure out the soonest date that works for both of us. No new retainers will be required, so rest assured, we will figure it out for you!
Yes, absolutely. I have an overflowing client closet with many options to choose from. Once we both have the story you want to tell with your photos, we can design around that so it all coordinates.
Photography is about self expression and the stories you want to create. Personally, my love for fine art imagery is solely based on storytelling from personal experiences. I don’t use the term storytelling lightly. I do not batch edit, use presets, nor am I high volume photographer which creates a unique experience for my clients. Creating a personal experience for you allows me to make each photograph special where I can immerse myself in your images. By slowing down, not only are the images meaningful, but you know they were brought to life with the utmost care and love.
