Love and kindness are not only shown with the people you surround yourself with in person, but they also revolve around the people that you interact with online. We need to be the same person face-to-face as we are here. I always think that the way people behave online is their true personality. People can put up a big façade when they’re face-to-face, but the things people say behind a computer show what’s really in their heart. If you press send online and you know it’s nothing that you would say while looking them in the eyes, it’s probably not something you should be saying. Are you speaking to be combative, are you speaking to learn and listen?
What if you were given a fake username right now and had the ability to post on anybody’s pages whether it was artists, personal profiles, businesses, news articles, politics, or an influencer? How much of it would be hateful and judgemental and how much of it would be kind and understanding? Would you jump to conclusions no matter what you knew about the situation, or would you wish somebody well or simply move on. This is a perspective I will never forget. It changes what you give your energy to.
We just need to listen, learn, educate, and grow in our emotions and beliefs, so that the hate can fade away, and it can be replaced with gratitude and love for all people
