Speaking about this image directly, babies are pure and trusting with only love to give. Their sweet noises and mannerisms make them unique and no two are exactly alike. I always say that I never had too much patience for anything, but when I am photographing children and pets, it’s peaceful.

I don’t strive to create the same images repeatedly because that isn’t the kind of photography I am interested in. When I hold my camera, I am looking at something that means so much to me. I am creating what I see in my heart and giving that to the families I am lucky enough to work with. Handing a client a ton of images and never seeing them again isn’t something that motivates or inspires me. However, seeing an image like this in portrait form in a family’s home means the world.

My images are my art and when I present them to a client and hear that one day their great-grandchild will hang this image on their wall is what it’s all about.
